Dr. Bumgarner is a native of Grand Junction, Colorado, and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. He later completed his Doctorate in Chiropractic along with a Master’s in Sport Science and Rehabilitation from Logan University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Growing up, Dr. Bumgarner was a three-sport athlete at Grand Junction High School, with baseball always being his primary passion. That passion carried him to Nebraska, where he played two years of collegiate baseball. His love for sports ultimately helped shape his professional path. After graduating, he had the opportunity to mentor under a chiropractor who showed him how his interest in athletics and performance could be used to help others through health, rehabilitation, and wellness.
Dr. Bumgarner believes the combination of chiropractic care and physical therapy plays a critical role in pain relief, injury prevention, long-term wellness, and overall longevity. He enjoys working with patients of all ages and backgrounds, helping individuals with a wide range of lifestyles, activity levels, and conditions return to doing what they love.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Bumgarner enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active. He loves hiking and exercising with his wife, Kelsey, their daughter Raina, and their black Labrador, Wick. While he no longer plays baseball competitively, he remains an avid fan of the game and enjoys staying involved in sports through activities like golf and softball.
